Photo Wednesday: Yosemite Cascade Creek

190325_110911_chuq.jpg

As you drive out 120 from Yosemite Valley towards Crane Flat, you cross a bridge that is in front of a waterfall that is part of what’s known as Cascade Creek. It’s a rather popular photographer location, and I’ve shot there a number of times. On this trip I was experimenting with long exposure and also trying to take photos that didn’t look like every other photo of a famous location like this that you can see online.

For this shot I am at 50mm and composed from one side to try to get a different angle on a common subject (in pretty mediocre light, to be honest). Overall, I’m quite happy with the result.

Fuji X-T3, 50-140 at 50mm, 0.4 seconds @ F/22, ND filters (not recorded)
