Feathery Friday: Turkey Vulture in Flight

201009_131529_chuq.jpg

While at Joseph D. Grant county park, I noticed a small group of Turkey Vultures on the ground, which generally means they’ve found a carcass. Ocasionally one bird would chase off another, or a bird would leave or arrive. This was an arrival, and while it is mostly backlit, I got really nice detail and you can see how the wing primaries almost glow in this kind of light. A really nice capture of a bird in flight.
