Photo Wednesday: Firehole Spring, Yellowstone

This is, I believe, the most popular image I’ve ever taken. This is Firehole Spring in Yellowstone National Park, from my 2014 trip. That trip was primarily intended to be about shooting wildlife, not landscapes, but on my last day in the park, I was exhausted and decided to just drive around the park exploring. I came across this location and stopped for lunch, and ended up pulling out the camera and spending 20 minutes experimenting with compositions. This is one I’ve proudly hung on my walls as a large print, and probably should again.
