Feathery Friday: Snow Goose in Flight
This week’s image is of a Snow Goose in flight, taken at Colusa National Wildlife Refuge, one of my favorites for goose photography. They have a wonderful observation platform near the front of the refuge that is a favorite of bird photographers in winter. This goose as maneuvering around to get ready for a landing. As much as I love the Sandhill Cranes in winter, the winter geese: Snow, Ross’s and Greater White-Fronted have become favorites of mine as well, and I never get tired of finding new ways to photograph them during their winter visits.
Gear Notes: Canon EOS 7D, 70-200/F2.8 + 2.0X TC @ 400mm, 1/1000 @ F/8, ISO 800.
