Feathery Friday: Barn Swallow

In this image, we see a barn swallow perching on a wire, sizing me up while I’m looking at it. I love the implied expression and gesture of its positioning; it seems curious, not threatened. I was at a good distance and not inside its threat radius, but it was still reacting to me, so I grabbed some shots — this is my favorite — and moved on as to not stress it unduly.
